Endodontics, commonly known as root canal treatment, is a procedure in which the tooth’s nerve is eliminated. It’s used when the tooth’s decay is too advanced, often with the objective of allowing the patient to keep the tooth instead of needing it to be pulled and replaced by a prosthetic piece.This treatment can be somewhat difficult when it comes to some specific teeth, so the new “mechanical endodontics” has represented a massive upgrade in terms of treatment results and speed.
This involves eliminating the tooth’s nerve, followed by cleaning and disinfecting the root canal before putting a filling inside the tooth. This inevitably means said tooth loses sensibility entirely, but it remains otherwise healthy and useful for chewing.

Thanks to newly discovered sealing materials, which we employ at our clinic, we can even preserve teeth suffering from inner perforations that, not too long ago, would have had to be extracted and replaced by a prosthesis which would have costed between 5 and 20 times as much as endodontic treatment does.

This good result we aim for is, of course, an endodontic treatment with zero complications, and a tooth that is saved from extraction. This means sizeable savings due to not needing a prosthesis, which would be the inevitable treatment when a tooth is missing.
