PERIODONTICS is the specialty of dentistry that treats the tissues that support the tooth, that is, gum and bone. The most frequent diseases are gingivitis (gum inflammation and periodontitis (formerly called pyorrhea, in which teeth become loose, move, shift and eventually fall out).
The cost of treatment depends on the disease and its severity: it ranges from a simple cleaning of the mouth (70 €) to surgical treatment (1000 €).
