What is a dental prosthesis?

A tailor-made medical device (i.e. made specifically for a patient and not mass-produced) to replace missing teeth and atrophied parts of the gums. Although they are made-to-measure medical devices, based on the molds or models obtained by the dentist, they require, for their proper "putting into service", a clinical adaptation, in the dentist's own mouth, which is carried out by the dentist.
